Though we seem to be going through some kind of a heat wave, it’s almost that wonderful time of year again—crisp mornings, cozy sweaters, and the stunning colours of fall all around us. As we begin to move further into the term, it’s a great opportunity to ensure our PBLA routines are running smoothly. Remember: keep it simple! Focus on meaningful, real-world reading, writing, speaking, and listening tasks, and make sure to include holistic feedback for your learners. Every small step counts toward those artefacts, so don’t forget to record everything in your assessment logs. There are so many fun things to teach in class this month:
In October, teach students about autumn traditions, fall themes and cultural days like Thanksgiving and Halloween.
